Sally Adams was deputy editor of She, assistant editor of Family Circle and editor of Mother and Baby before turning freelance. She edits charity quarterlies and contributes to a range of publications, from magazines to The Guardian.

Simon Bernstein is an accredited IPR trainer with more than nine years' experience in the public and private sectors. He has exceptional communication skills and delivers training in an inspirational and motivational style. His clients include the Benefits Agency, Tumble Tots and Mothercare World.

Ann Bird has worked as executive features editor for The Express and Sunday Express, launching the weekly health section. She runs a media consultancy for PR professionals as well as writing regularly for the Daily Mail, The Guardian, Press Gazette, Esquire, The Sunday Times, the Daily Mirror and various magazines.

Tim Bouquet is a journalist, writer, editor, broadcaster and traveller. He was features editor of the British edition of Reader's Digest, and has written extensively for YOU, Telegraph and Express magazines, as well as The Times and The Guardian.

Caroline Brannigan has experience from the Evening Argus, Sussex (features editor) to The Sun (features sub-editor). She now works as a freelance feature writer for national press and magazines, specialising in health and nutrition.

Phil Brown has more than 30 years' communications industry experience. He has worked in commercial market research, academic research and advertising at a board director level. Phil now works as a planner for the DTI's Enterprise Initiative and national organisations, such as McCann Erickson, Philips, UUNet, and many SME's.

Neil Bruce runs his own PR company. Neil was director of Cameron Choat PR handling Scottish Courage, Sellotape and Meccano. He began his career as reporter and feature writer on the Windsor, Slough and Eton Express and moved to magazines covering the retail industry, including The Grocer.

Andy Bull is an award-winning travel writer working on various publications including The Independent, The Daily Telegraph and the Mail on Sunday and has published seven books including Coast to Coast: A Rock Fan’s US Tour and Strange Angels: In search of America’s Immortal Heroes.

Mike Butcher pioneered the use of the web on industry title New Age Media. He won the Centaur award for Best Editorial Team in 1999, and was short-listed in the European Online Journalism awards. He was executive editor of Industry Standard Europe and set up mbites.com. He writes for the Guardian, Broadcast, Media Age and Wired.

Lysiane Bysh spent much of her career with Marks & Spencer, reforming the company's management recruitment and overseeing installation of a communications system. She is now an independent consultant in human resources and training.

Valerie Clarke was senior journalism lecturer at the London College of Printing. She worked in a senior role on several of the country's top magazines, as well as editing a German weekly. She was executive editor of German and French partworks before going freelance.

Roberta Cohen has vast experience editing, launching and relaunching a range of business magazines from Marketing Week to Leisure Week. She has guided many trainee journalists into glittering media careers.

Lorraine Connolly is a freelance managing and production editor working as a sub on The Express and a production editor/chief sub on magazines, supplements and newspapers.

Nick Constable worked as a staff reporter for Today newspaper and then as lobby correspondent for the Daily Star. Since 1993, Nick has run his own news agency. He also regularly contributes to national newspapers and magazines. Nick has written several books on current affairs.

Jules Cranshaw has worked on the nationals and in women's magazines. She was chief sub on She and senior editor at the National Magazine Company. She then went online, becoming head of special projects at AOL, and is now a freelance writer.

Jeff Davy has worked in journalism for more than 25 years in various roles. He was senior journalism lecturer at the London College of Printing for seven years. He now runs his own consultancy.

Ruth Dixon was Deputy Chief Executive of the UK's Internet Watch Foundation. She worked closely with law enforcement, government and industry to develop both technical and policy solutions to problems of internet abuse. Ruth advises and trains on internet issues for a wide range of organisations in the UK and globally.

Keith Elliott is chairman of PMA Training. He has worked on several national papers, and edited magazines on subjects as varied as computing, general practice and taxidermy. He writes two weekly news columns for an evening paper as well as a weekly sports column for The Independent on Sunday.

Riva Elliott is PMA's busines development director, and a market researcher specialising in qualitative work She was marketing director of a public IT company, and now runs PMA Research, the market research arm of PMA. It has worked for many top clients, from BT to Saab, and specialises in all media products, new technology and consumer products.

Joan Ellis is an award-winning copywriter. As a senior copywriter for Lion, her clients included Greenpeace, RNLI, RSPB, and Crisis. She currently works as a freelance copywriter for global organisations.

Robin Etherington is a former Daily Mail sub-editor and was deputy chief sub of the Newcastle Sunday Sun. Robin has also worked as a local radio news producer and as a regional TV journalist. He is now a PR consultant and freelance journalist.
